A very warm WELCOME to our Association Website. It will show you that Inner Wheel has much to offer – and encourage you to read more about what we do, working with friends and making a difference in so many ways. The annual Home Service and International reports given at Conference make incredible reading. The ingenuity of members and what they do never ceases to amaze me - and definitely touches my heart! The success of Inner Wheel depends upon its members. Joining a Club means you are making a commitment to work with friends and support one another. Fun and friendship are the core of Inner Wheel membership and with that comes success in fund raising and serving the community, as well as enjoying many other aspects of your club membership.
The International Inner Wheel theme for this year is “Touch a Heart” which is a beautiful sentiment and well suited to our organisation. I am sure we can all relate to this – and importantly do it – or I should say – continue to do it metaphorically speaking! A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
I am delighted and very proud to be your President for this year and regard it as an enormous privilege. I am looking forward to meeting many of you at your Rallies – all 29 of them - and of course at Conference in Nottingham next year. At Conference you get the true Inner Wheel experience!
We are constantly adapting to meet modern challenges and you only have to look at the Association Facebook page and the number of new members joining us (650 and rising) to realise that we are succeeding. Becoming involved is very rewarding. I find people can be divided into three groups – those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened Inner Wheel is there to enjoy – put as much as you can into it and you will receive so much back. Join us if you can.
Have a great year – with lots of fun and friendship
